Langford Parent information page

Langford01

Our Langford site looks after our swimmers who have gained 200m plus.  During
their time at this pool Le Mourier looks to develop a swimmers stamina, stroke
and skill levels to ASA Gold Challenge Award and for some the Honours Award
(White Hat)

As with all our venues there are eccentricities which we need to be aware of to make
the most of the time in the water.  This page details most of them which you will come
across from time to time at Langford and highlights specify dates for the diary 😉 M

Parking at Langford

The pool entrance is in the northern carpark opposite JCG. The carparks at Langford
are busy particularly on weekdays at 3.30.  Please arrive as early as possible.  After the
first couple of lessons the swimmers know their way around and will be able to come
in on their own where teachers will be on hand to great them.  Indeed on the first day Screen Shot 2015-04-23 at 11.08.40
we will be there to guide them

Where to go

Come in the front door, turn right and go through the white double doors and turn left

Over the term we break down the awards and test the relevant sections of the awards.  The last and main test is the distance award which must be swum in correct strokes and technique and at a high standard.  This is the most demanding of the elements and we therefore prefer to test them on a separate occasion to ensure they are rested and fresh.  Invites will be sent to swimmers when they have completed the other tasks required and are considered ready to swim by their instructor.
